Job Description:
My St Ives-based client is looking for a confident, articulate and motivated Account Manager / Field Sales Executive to expand their business, improve their visibility within the market place, and maintain an excellent relationship with existing clients, as well as introducing their services and products to new customers.
This is primarily a field-based role, so a full driving licence and car are essential.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Planning and prioritising personal sales activities and customer / prospect contact towards achieving agreed sales targets
- Following up all incoming leads in a timely manner and capturing details of each prospect accurately on the customer database
- Sending appropriate information and tracking progress of all leads within assigned customer group
- Completing set quota of visits to existing customers and to prospects on target account lists
- Developing new accounts and regularly meeting with existing customers
- Contacting potential customers and up-selling opportunities from contacts/customers identified as a result of existing relationships
- Identifying and contacting potential customers
- Dealing with customer enquiries and providing quotations, information and supporting literature as required
- Maintaining, managing and taking responsibility for own customer base
- Being an ambassador for the company during all customer interactions and working to company values at all times
- Participation in Company projects as and when required
- Carrying out any other ad-hoc duties within your capabilities that are relevant to the job and reasonably requested of you by your manager
As a successful candidate, you will ideally be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Be a driven individual

- Possess outstanding client-facing skills
- Have proven experience of developing and retaining accounts
- A proven track record within an Account Management, Sales or Field Sales position within an IT environment
- Knowledge within the IT field would be an advantage
- Courteous, helpful and approachable to customers
- Strives to exceed customers' expectation
- Demonstrates a high level of care and attention to detail
- Observes agreed standards and best practice procedures
- Communicates confidently and assertively at all levels
- Produces clear, well-presented and accurate written work
- Uses effective questioning and active listening skills
- Evaluates customer problems / issues and finds the right solution for them
- Self-aware, understanding the impact of personal behaviour on others, and seeks ways to have a positive impact
