A market leader who offers services in building facilities management for residential and commercial buildings have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Service Manager to join their well established team.

The main purpose of this role will involve the day to day management and technical support to the reactive maintenance service desk where you will be expected to ensure that the client's demands and services expectations are fully met to a high standard and that all legal and industry standards are adhered to.

As the Technical Services Manager your main responsibilities would include:

• Ensure all scheduled service visits and gas safety inspections are attended within the predetermined set period adhering to set targets
• Plan, schedule and arrange access to sites that require attendance
• Ensure correct engineers attend (appropriately qualified)
• Ensure services are completed fully, with correct documentation and within set time frame
• Maintain service records
• Manage gas safety portfolio
• Utilise all technical resource available
• Provide direction and leadership to mobile service engineering workforce
• Ensure adherence to legislation
• Monitor and review engineers quality of work
• Pass relevant reports over for quoting
• Assist with health and safety arrangements and development
• Arrange and chair meetings with engineers
• Liaise with supervisors on monitoring and reviewing of engineers
• Report accordingly on a monthly basis to General Manager
• Manage the departments’ holidays
• Assist with budget and resource planning
• Provide technical guidance

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience, to include:

• An HNC in engineering or equivalent 
• Computer literate 
• Excellent customer service and supervisory skills
• Self Motivated
• Technical knowledge in Commercial/domestic gas, Air Conditioning, Electrical etc
