Our client is a family run the company established in Ely and provides plumbing and heating, building and electrical service to the East Anglian region.
In line with their current recruitment drive our client is now looking to appoint a Heating & Plumbing/Maintenance Manager to complete tenders, manage a team of people and a range of contracts. The duties listed below offer an impression of the duties required however this list is not exhaustive;
- Responsible/Manage team of supervisors and staff to achieve company and client aims.
- Ensure projects completed on time and within tender/budget.Achieve client KPIs, performance requirements and develop relationships.

Respond promptly and efficiently to client needs and address any queries regarding performance.

In conjunction with Senior Managers appraise, review, and comment on tenders and potential suitability for company.

Complete tenders, quotes etc for either Heating/Plumbing/Building maintenance work.

Negotiation of revised contract terms during contract period/annual reviews.

Complete applications for payment and final accounts on projects.

Work with current team to undertake the invoicing of the DTD works orders when required.

Undertake adhoc reports & projects

Work with team to ensure best practice and develop procedures/processes to move the business forward

Be Health & Safety aware, working with team to ensure company always complies with its H & S duties.
In order to succeed in this position the successful candidate will possess a a Degree or Professional Qualification, QS experience in heating/plumbing/mechanical/electrical/building – domestic and light commercial, possess a working knowledge of contract conditions and contract law, persuasive negotiation skills and a qualification/knowledge of Health & Safety (or wish to undertake training towards a qualification.
