Our client a leader in their field are seeking a General Manager to manage and develop the service and maintenance related products provided for an ever growing and developing company client base. Complying with and improving where possible the quality and performance related targets set by the company directors.
Duties:
- Building client confidence by maintaining professional, service committed communication standards, remaining aware of specific client needs and managing our clients resource placed under appropriate timescales
- Managing the quotation, written communications and telephone response systems to meet company standards, ensuring all communications/quotation standards are accurately and concisely processed and responded to within timescales to improve client confidence
- Ensuring all works and proposals comply with all imposed and developing regulations
- Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety requirements at all times
- Providing the relevant accurate and regular reporting on all related tasks designed and required to ensure that the directors remain aware of progress, performance problems, actual and foreseen, and providing proposed resolutions and potential cost projections as and when necessary
- Ensuring personal career and skills development all times
The job holder will be expected to define the engineer and staff training necessary to maintain a constant opportunity for the career and skills development of all being managed, defining training needs for all and ensuring all newly appointed staff job induction and probation period support, instruction and supervision is undertaken in a professional and progressive manner.
This key role demands a flexible and progressive response to all growth related opportunities and that forward planning and the implementation of accepted plans for development are completed within timescales acceptable to the Directors.
This challenging role therefore demands that the job holder place improving service quality and company profitability as the twin prime objectives for achievement at all times.
