You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Business Development for our clients Transport business.  You will:

• Identify new business opportunities within the transport sector that are potential clients
• Develop strong commercial relationships with senior executives in potential client companies or their contractors
• Use strategic and conceptual selling techniques to access key clients and markets
• Personally close substantial sales
• Contribute to marketing, advertising and promotion events
• Work with and guide their technical teams in Cambridge UK to help them deliver projects that meet the client’s needs
• Feed back market & customer information to the technical teams to support product and service development
• Interact with teams across the broad technical base of our client which includes:
  • Sensors & analytics
  • Wired & wireless communications
  • Electronics & Software
  • Business Change and Innovation

You will also use your strong commercial and technical skills to make a significant contribution to the overall direction of development projects, often working on more than one concurrently. Whilst this position is based in Cambridge, UK, there will be some travel required (typically up to 50% of time).

To be considered for this opportunity we require a candidate ideally with previous experience of Integrated Traffic Systems (ITS) within the UK and/or Europe with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline e.g. engineering, mathematics or physical sciences.
