I need a temp - what do I do?

Call us – it’s as simple as that! We will arrange a meeting with you, at your convenience, to personally discuss and fully understand exactly what you need. From there, will take care of the rest, including:

• Advertising on top national and local job boards, sourcing suitable candidates from our large database.

• Shortlisting, registering and internal interviewing of all candidates.

• Arranging your interviews (if applicable), at a time convenient to you.

• Payroll duties.

• All associated administration e.g. interview and assignment confirmations etc.

You just need to sit back, and look forward to meeting our carefully selected candidate(s)! After all, we understand that you are busy and we are here to help make your life that little bit easier, and to ensure that your recruitment process is a smooth one.

Top Tips

To get the most out of your temporary worker, it's important that right from the start, they feel comfortable within your team. We've put together a few useful tips to help you ensure that your new temp feels like part of your team quickly, so that they can work comfortably, efficiently and effectively…

•We will have already informed him/her who they should report to on their first day, but if this is to change after day one, please remember to let them know who they should then report to on a daily basis.

• We will have already offered your temporary worker background information on your company and outlined to them what they will be doing, it is important that they know exactly what you are expecting from them. Please discuss the following with them:

  • Use of mobile phones and the Internet etc
  • Lunch breaks
  • 'Dress down’ days
  • Tea, coffee or other refreshments
  • Where to store jackets/ personal belongings etc.

• If you feel that your temporary worker has done a great job please let them know.

Whatever you decide, the most important thing to remember is that your temporary worker is there for you. And they are there because they want to be.

A fundamental responsibility for us at Neaves & Neat is to pay your temporary team member on time. In order for us to do this, it is vital that we receive your temp's signed timesheets promptly, for us to be able to process their payment.
