The UK's leading food producer, owning some of the most popular food brands are looking to recruit Multi Skilled Engineer to join their well established team.
The main purpose of this position is too ensure effective, efficient and timely response to plant breakdowns with respect to site maintenance to site maintenance issues. Also to ensure that maintenance schedule and calibrations are completed on time and in full as per the site requirements.
As the Multi Skilled Engineer your responsibilities would include:
- Ensure proactive response to maintenance and breakdowns on site ensuring continuity of productions and services
- Carry out maintenance activities, ensuring that the manufacturing team achieve 100% compliance to the production plan, by minimising engineering downtime
- Heavily support and coach the effective development of Engineers, Operators and Supervisors in their up skilling on their lines.
- Step change the performance and efficiency of the existing plant through continuous improvements techniques
- Ensure risk assessments are completed and actioned, and enhance awareness to reduce accidents and near misses
- Carry out site maintenance activities and ensure GMP standards are reached
- Responsible for monitoring, updating and improving the planned maintenance system and ensuring work planned and progressed
- Communicate as required with Engineering Stores to ensure that spares are available for planned and breakdown maintenance
The ideal candidate would preferably have the following skills and experience:
- Hold an Electrician's qualification
- Have experience within manufacturing
- Strong communication skills
- Work in a timely fashion
Hours: two patters available, double day shifts and Continental shift pattern
