A leading college in Cambridge are now recruiting for a Commis Chef to join their well established team.
As the Commis Chef your responsibilities would include:
- Learn, adhere and assist in all aspects relating to Health & Safety, and Food Hygiene practices
- Assist in all food preparation
- Achieve and comply with the standards and performance required for each NVQ unit being undertaken
- Responsible for taking care of kitchen and equipment and utensils
- Take responsibility for the safety of yourself and others whilst on duty through recognised kitchen procedures
The ideal candidate will preferable have the following skills and experience:
- Working towards or willing to undertake NVQ Level 1 (Food Preparation & Cooking
- Basic Food hygiene Certificate
- Wanting to progress within the catering industry and be passionate about food
- Good culinary skills
- Attentive, enthusiastic and willing to learn
Benefits: 32 days annual leave - including bank holidays, car parking and meals on duty
Hours: 37.5 hours - working 5 out of 7 days.
