Our client is a market leader in the development and manufacture of weighing and labelling technology. They are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join their commercial team based in Haverhill.
Key Responsibilities
- To manage the accounts function and produce timely and accurate management accounts and supporting reports each period that assists management in the financial understanding, reporting and forecasting of their departments.
- Highlight and report to the relevant budget holder any non compliance with internal systems or excessive expenditure that has a negative financial implication.
- To manage and ensure the reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts – sales, bank, purchase, stock and payroll to report variances and work with the responsible manager to identify errors or financial issues in order to reconcile.
- To assist in the production of year end Financial Statements for the Company and compile working file for efficient Audit of the accounts and preparation of the tax computations.
- Drive the annual budget process and prepare departmental information for each budget holder to efficiently produce annual profit & loss, balance and cash flow budgets.
- Ensure all legal requirements are met with respect to VAT, Insurance, Government returns and any other associated financial matter.
- To adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment
Person Specification
- Qualifications in AAT or other formal training is desired but not essential.
- Microsoft Office, strong excel working knowledge for the manipulation and creation of complex spreadsheets.
- Knowledge, skills and attributes used to gather, analyse and summarise data from a broad range of sources to solve problems and make decisions.
- The ability to encourage and support both individual and team achievements.
- Demonstrated desire to achieve agreed objectives and exhibiting high levels of energy and performance standards.
- Evidence of an ability to stay on top of a variety of parallel tasks so as to ensure that internal and external customer’s requirements are delivered on time.
- An ability to deal with difficult personalities and political situations.
- The ability to work flexible hours within reasonable limits and travel to France when required.
Working hours: M-F 08:30-17:00
